Error Machine

is a performance lecture and installation that examines the embodied conditions of democracy within the American project. Investigating the generative potential of error, rupture, and technological failure as sites of embodied transformation through live performance, sound, moving image, and poetic sculptural environments, the work asks what forms of knowledge become possible when systems break down, whether digital, archival, ecological, social, or personal.

At the center of Error Machine is a deeper political question: Who determines what constitutes an error? Developed across multiple U.S. sites, the project responds to escalating climate disasters, democratic erosion, racialized state violence, and the normalization of authoritarian rhetoric. It investigates how these structural pressures register in the body through exhaustion, hyper-vigilance, grief, fragmentation, and collective numbness.
