Quantum Rest E-Module

Virtual Practice Lab

A calm, guided path to build rest as infrastructure in your creative life. Move through breath and somatic regulation, time design, consent, collective care, ritual craft, and imagination work. You will create a personal rest guide, design simple micro practices, listen with others, and begin archiving your legacy so your art and your body can sustain each other.

Quantum Rest is a creative rest practice for artists, cultural workers, and visionaries.

What if rest was not simply recovery from work, but the foundation of creativity itself?

This guided three-part experience invites you to slow down, reconnect with your body, and rediscover imagination through intentional rest.

Inside the program you will explore three phases:

Rest as a creative catalyst
Ritual as a daily creative infrastructure
Archiving as an act of imagination, care, and resistance

Together these practices create space for reflection, healing, and creative renewal.

jaamil olawale kosoko

a Nigerian American poet, performance artist, and cultural strategist whose work centers memory, rest, and creative liberation. Their practice blends ritual, somatic inquiry, and Black queer feminist thought to create care based systems that help artists and cultural workers build sustainable lives and legacies.

Through books, performances, and community offerings, Jaamil invites people into intentional practices of slowing down, listening inward, and tending to the body as archive. Quantum Rest grows directly from this lineage, offering a pathway toward clarity, recovery, and restored capacity.

What you’ll learn

  • In this first module, you will explore how rest can become a foundation for creativity rather than simply a break from work. Through guided reflection and journaling prompts, you will examine your relationship to rest, labor, and creative process. This session introduces the core ideas of rest as radical resistance, creative catalyzation, and personal restoration, inviting you to slow down and reconnect with your creative rhythm.

  • Rest becomes sustainable when it becomes practice. In this module, you will learn how to transform rest into daily rituals that support your creative life. You will experiment with building a personal rest altar, integrating gentle movement and somatic awareness, and designing small creative rest breaks that help you pause, breathe, and reconnect with intention throughout your day.

  • In the final module, rest expands into imagination and memory. You will explore archiving as a creative practice that captures dreams, insights, and creative ideas that often emerge during moments of stillness. Through guided visualization, reflective writing, and dream journaling, you will begin documenting the traces of your creative process and preserving them as part of your evolving artistic legacy.
