Guest Artist Visit: jaamil olawale kosoko

Choreographer, poet, curator, and educator jaamil olawale kosoko will join Lehman College for a two-part guest artist visit featuring an artist talk and a reactive Rest, Craft, Conjure restshop. Through conversation, guided rest practice, and embodied inquiry, kosoko will invite students to explore rest as a creative and political tool, examining how care, imagination, and the body function as sites of worldbuilding. These sessions offer students space to reflect on their creative processes while engaging contemporary performance, poetry, and rest-centered practices.
